We at OTR Wheel Engineering are proud to be sponsoring Jamie McCoy. McCoy races a Can Am X3 equipped with a set of OTR Wheel Engineering Tires, our OTR Dirt Masters. McCoy is a apart of the GForce Racing team, sponsored by OTR Wheel, Can Am/BRP, GForce Racing Suspension, Big Foot Enterprises, JB Auto Works, Gates Belts, Keller Ball joints, HCR Racing, GBuilt Racing, S3 Powersports, Blud Lubricants, Performance SXS bushings, DP Brakes, Tire balls, HMF Racing, and Desert Craft.

Below is a race report from GForce Suspension’s Gary Hinkle, on the Dirty Turtle Off Road Pro Rock UTV Survival and AXCC XC Racing series:

March 1-2 GForce Racing sponsored driver Jamie McCoy took his Can Am X3 machine to DTOR for the 1st round of Pro Rock UTV Survival series. With all the weeks of rain and the cold temperatures we knew there was a lot to contend with. With 48 drivers to qualify on Friday for the Saturday morning event, the #70 Can Am X3 was on the top of the qualifying list for most of the day only to be beat on time by tenths of seconds in the end. Starting on the grid 3rd Jamie quickly put the Can Am X3 to the front but unfortunately with the cold/wet temps/heavy mudd and larger than usual tire set up a clutch issue was suffered. Jamie said the Can Am X3 was awesome and the new OTR tires were digging and climbing the steep slick hills without issue. Looking forward to the next Pro Rock event April 12 at Rush Offroad Park for some woods course racing March 9 the Sponsored Can Am X3 machine with driver Jamie McCoy set sights on winning the 1st round of the new Ultra 4/SRRS combined TiTan 2 hr endurance race. Again Mother Nature didn’t make it easy. Rain, rain and more mudd and rain with cold temperatures made for another difficult race. With the drivers starting off the grid single file intervals of 30 seconds, Jamie had already taken the Can Am X3 to a 2 minute lead half way thru the 1st lap. With the hard pack slick a mishap in a deeper than thought water hole caused the #70 car to get stuck allowing the behind field to pass. Once going again Jamie put the hammer down and was able to finish the 2 hr race with a 3rd place podium finish.

March 24 was the 2nd round of the new AXCC XC racing series being held at the well Known Loretta Lynn Ranch outside Nasheville, TN. The weather was warmer and very little rain on Sunday,s race day. After the course walk the decision was made to switch the wheels and tires to 15” because of all the rock terrain and 1 plus miles of creek bed run. The new OTR 29” Dirt Master tire did not disappoint as the Can Am X3 was able to put power to the ground and go the complete race without any wheel/Tire issues that others were forced to contend with. Jamie said “Today wasn’t on the top box where we needed to be. I made a mishap on the start and let the ecu time out, got going strong catching and passing. My Can Am X3 was running great and the GForce Tuned Fox shocks were on rails on this rocky course. The OTR 29” Dirt Master tire was great with traction and really saved the race climbing the hills in the back after loosing 4wd after lap 1. Happy to get the 1.5hr race completed and a 5th in the Pro Turbo class.”
It takes all these sponsors who help and thank them all for being a crucial part to the race program. – Gary Hinkle
