Jamie McCoy Clinches 2019 Ultra 4 East Coast Championship
Racing Pro Utv Racer Jamie McCoy #70 and Co-Pilot Jon Boy Arnold Unofficially Clinches 2019 Ultra 4 East coast championship title, wins Ultra 4 Utv, places 2nd in IXCR, and Wins DTOR King of the Shell aboard Can Am X3 machines in one weekend of racing.
The #70 Can Am of Jamie McCoy currently also sits 1st in Ultra 4/SRRS Titan series points and tied for 1st in Pro Rock UTV Survival series in 2019.
The Can Am Sponsored Team of GForce Racing and Jamie McCoy traveled to Dirty Turtle Offroad park on 7/19/2019 to compete in the Ultra 4 East and Ultra 4 Utv Titan cross country series. McCoy took the #70 Can Am X3 to the top qualifying spot on Friday and was set for the Saturday morning 10 a.m UTV 2 hr race. Starting in the front poll position the #70 X3 driver never looked back and held the physical lead the entire 2 hrs. Completing 8 laps with over 2 minute lead at the finish taking the overall UTV Win.
That afternoon the Team traveled a short distance away to race the IXCR cross country event on a new 2019 Can Am xds X3. Starting row 2 in 20th position in the Pro Heavy class Jamie put the #70 X3 to the lead by lap 4 and gained over a minute on the pro field of talented drivers. Unfortunately passing a lap rider and catching wheels together cost the win on the last lap but brought the Can Am to the finish for 2nd overall.
The Team stayed at the DTOR Facility in Bedford, KY to Challenge the Pro Unlimited Class in the King of the Shell Series. The temps were Hot and dusty after a long weekend of racing the facility. Jamie put the #70 Can Am in 2nd qualifying position behind another heavy tuned Can Am X3 machine. The 12 lap main was a great battle in the dusty conditions between the 2 Can Am X3 machines of different horsepower and drivers, with the #70 Can Am X3 making a last lap pass for the win and the overall.
After the weekend Jamie couldn’t have been much happier with the outcome unless he had went 1-1-1. McCoy said:
“We had some great Can Am X3 cars this weekend, if you’re not on a Can Am you might want to make a change, these cars are fast and built tough taking all we thru at them this weekend. We went out on the smallest sized tires of the Ultra 4 field on 27” tires and the OTR Wizzard Tires were awesome in all the events and never lost traction or failure. We set our X3 cars up working with the best in the UTV industry of products and everyone mentioned in the list below makes a huge difference in our race program and in the end deserves the wins right next to us. The cars ran flawless on my EVO products with Gates belt pulling strong and never fading, Hess Radiator staying cool and the chassis was super tough and strong with HCR, S3, Gbuilt, CA Technologies, Performance SXS Bushings, Dp Brakes and Keller products taking the beating and helping us get the wins. Thanks to everyone backing me and making great parts to race with.”
