How big was Bauma 2016?
The International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, called Bauma, is the world’s largest trade fair in the construction industry. Bauma is held every three years on the grounds of the Neue Messe München exhibition center in Riem and lasts for a week. The first exhibition took place in 1954. Bauma 2016 took place April 11th through April 17th.
At Bauma 2016, there were 580,000 visitors from over 200 countries. In total, 3,423 exhibitors from 58 countries presented their latest products and innovations in construction and mining machinery on 6,512,166 square feet. There was a higher than expected order activity at Bauma 2016! We were excited to be there, and we hope you had a chance to stop in to visit with us if you had the opportunity to be there too! The next Bauma takes place from April 8th through April 14th, 2019 in Munich.
